Ice Evaporators Section 1

Güncelleme tarihi: 8 Tem 2020

Prepared by: Mr. Benna Gogcu ( Mechanical Engineer) Subject: Ice Evaporators Section 1

One of the main 4 elements of a cooling cycle is the evaporators. Also known as the evaporation section in the technical dictionary. The word evaporator is derived from the word evaporation and passed directly from the word evaporator to our language. The word evaporation man means evaporation.

So what is this evaporating?

The refrigerant circulating in a closed cooling cycle provides heat transfer between the units.

The above diagram simply illustrates a cooling cycle. The refrigerant that is compressed in the compressor is passed through a condenser which can be air, water or earth cooled and its temperature is reduced and enters the expansion valve.

In order to make this cycle more usable, in-between filters, oil, and liquid separators, sump heaters, condenser fan speed controllers, pressure switches, liquid tanks, absorber pipes, pressure clocks, speed, etc. control devices. We can examine ice evaporators under 7 different types, These are Plate Ice, Block Ice, Cube Ice, Tube Ice, Nuget Ice, Slurry Ice, and Flake Ice.

Rosen Industrial Cooling Machines are made of copper coils, which are produced on their own. In the following image, copper pipes and molds of mold ice are seen in stainless steel.

In Cube Ice, the serpentine-shaped copper tubes are crimped in the form of serpentine, but the difference here is the outer diameter and frequency of the copper tubes, while the folds in the block ice are wider, the curves in the cube ice evaporator panel are more frequent and are fixed behind a corrugated plate.

In the picture above you can see the CUBE 400 evaporator of Rosen Industrial Company. The evaporator pictured can deliver 400kg of ice per day under optimum conditions.

Tube ice is the type of evaporator that requires the most gas in terms of quantity compared to other ice machines (except 1 model of flake ice). The reason for this is that the refrigerant is circulated in tubes ranging from 200mm to 300mm in height and 1000mm to 5000mm in diameter depending on the capacity. The defrosting function provides the ice casting process.
